The Russian Armed Forces destroyed an AFU self-propelled artillery unit in the Kupyansk region

In the Kupyansk region, an FPV drone unit of the Rubicon test center for advanced unmanned technologies destroyed a self-propelled artillery unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday, January 22, showing objective control footage.

"Reconnaissance units of the Russian Defense Ministry's Rubicon Test Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies have detected an AFU self-propelled artillery installation at night," the ministry said in a statement.

It is specified that the reconnaissance detected the target, the data was transmitted to the strike means, and despite REB interference, the FPV-drone destroyed the self-propelled artillery installation of the AFU.

The objective control footage shows the sighting and precise strike.

Earlier, on January 20, it was reported that as part of the mixed tactical aviation, an Army aviation crew on a Ka-52M helicopter carried out a strike on armored vehicles and personnel of the AFU in the border area of Kursk region.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian president on February 24, 2022, is still ongoing. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
