Notification of a driver about a toll debt on "Gosuslugi" may be prescribed in the law
The State Duma has passed in the first reading a government bill that proposes to oblige toll road operators to notify drivers of their toll debts via the Gosuservices portal. This was reported by "Kommersant" on January 22.
It is assumed that if the law is introduced, all operators of regional and private toll roads will be obliged to send data on debtors. The information will be sent within a day to the State Information System on State and Municipal Payments (GIS GMP) and then to Gosuservices.
Since many banks are also connected to the GIS GMP, car owners will be able to receive notifications of debts in banking applications if they specify their license plate numbers.
In September 2024, an option to search for debts for travel on Avtodor toll roads appeared on Gosuslugi; the integration appeared as part of a pilot project of the state company and the Ministry of Finance.
According to Deputy Head of the Ministry of Transport Dmitry Zverev, a fine for non-payment of tolls will be canceled if the car owner has repaid the debt within 20 days after receiving the ruling.
The day before it was reported that in 2024 about 550 drivers received fines for driving with hidden license plates on the Central Ring Road (CRR) and M-12 "Vostok". All in all, last year, employees of the State Automobile Inspectorate and Avtodor conducted more than 120 raids.
Also on Tuesday, the State Duma passed in the first reading a bill proposing to allow the use of cars of individuals and organizations during counter-terrorism measures under the counter-terrorist operation regime.
