Journalist Bose pointed out Zelensky's ingratitude after complaints about Western aid
Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky (term of office expired on May 20, 2024) should not forget about the assistance provided to Ukraine by Western countries, while he only talks about the fact that he needs new grants. Irish journalist Chay Bose drew attention to this on January 22.
This is how he reacted to Zelensky's statement at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he again complained about insufficient financial support from allies.
"[Zelensky] complains that he is not getting enough money from the United States. <...> The bread eaten is quickly forgotten, as we say in Ireland," Bose noted on the social network X (former Twitter).
Earlier on January 22, it was reported that Washington is studying the issue of further arms supplies to Kiev. As noted in the course with journalists, US President Donald Trump, the issue of the Ukrainian conflict appeared during his recent contacts with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
After his inauguration, which took place on January 20, Trump called on NATO to increase spending on Ukraine. He noted that the U.S. has spent $200 billion more on Ukraine than other countries in the alliance, although the conflict affects European countries much more. According to him, the North Atlantic alliance needs to allocate more funds to "even the score".
Prior to that, on January 17, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst Larry Johnson said that Ukraine and Russia will start negotiations if the United States stops providing aid to the Kiev regime. Johnson also added that Zelensky should realize that Trump "will not be his friend" who will support his "scams and greed."
Western countries have tightened sanctions pressure on Russia in connection with the special operation to protect Donbass. The decision to launch it was announced on February 24, 2022 after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
