The broadcast of the inauguration of US President Donald Trump was watched by 24.6 million American TV viewers, the analytical company Nielsen reported on January 21.

This number of viewers on average followed the ceremony, which 15 TV networks showed live on January 20. At the peak of audience attention, 34.4 million people watched the inauguration.

The inauguration of former U.S. President Joe Biden in 2021 was watched by 33.8 million viewers. In turn, Trump's inauguration in 2017 gathered 31 million people in front of the screens, specified "Gazeta.Ru".

On January 20, Trump took the oath of office, becoming the 47th President of the United States. After the inauguration ceremony, he signed more than 200 decrees. In particular, he approved the decisions to withdraw the country from the WHO and the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Also, the Republican suspended Washington's aid abroad, returned the death penalty at the federal level and postponed the blocking of TikTok. Along with this, Trump canceled about 80 executive orders of the Biden administration, including on electric cars.
