Four people hurt in Tel Aviv in knife attack
A man decided to massacre and wounded four people in Tel Aviv. This was reported by BBC News on January 22.
Tuesday's attacks took place on Nahalat Binyamin Street, a popular neighborhood with restaurants, as well as on nearby Gruzenberg Street.
Ikhilov Hospital said it was treating three victims, including one in "serious condition with a stab wound to the neck." The 28-year-old foreigner attacker was shot dead at the scene, police said.
Israel's Shin Bet intelligence agency said the man had Moroccan citizenship, an American residency permit and a border control ticket.
It was specified that border and immigration officials objected to the man's entry into Israel while he was at Ben-Gurion Airport, but the Shin Bet security service approved his entry.
"I call on Shin Bet head of security Ronen Bar to investigate this serious incident as soon as possible and learn from it," Israeli Interior Minister Moshe Arbel said.
Earlier, January 18, in Tel Aviv, several people were injured in an attack by an unknown person with a knife. It is noted that the local police classified what happened as a terrorist act. Police cordoned off the crime scene for investigation.
