A large fire broke out near the Berkat market in Grozny

A powerful fire broke out in Grozny on Wednesday, January 22, after flames engulfed a building next to the Berkat market, eyewitnesses told Izvestia.

The footage shows the fire rising to the sky and eyewitnesses streaming to the scene.

There is no information on casualties or fatalities yet. Firefighters are working at the scene.

Earlier, on January 20, firefighters rescued two children from a burning apartment in Yaroslavl. It was specified that the five-year-old boy climbed on the window sill to escape the fire. The six-year-old child was found in the smoke-filled room by the EMERCOM staff.
