Poultry meat supplies from China have increased almost five times in Russia, the Rosselkhoznadzor press service told Izvestia.

Russians are not yet accustomed to them and do not have enough experience in their use, experts believe

"The main supplier countries remained the same: Belarus and Latin American states (Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay). In addition, it can be noted that the supply of poultry meat from China has increased almost five times," the agency said.

It noted that Belarus supplies Russia with more than 50% of all imported meat products. Thus, in 2024, the share of the republic in beef shipments amounted to 46%, meat and poultry by-products - 51%, finished meat products - 97%. In shipments of dairy products, the share amounted to 94%, and edible chicken eggs - 87%.
