Verkhovna Rada deputy demanded life imprisonment for Zelensky
A member of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Dubynskyy, who is in jail, has called for life imprisonment for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024).
This statement he made in response to the publication in Time magazine, which claimed that the Ukrainian leader initially realized the impossibility of restoring the lost territories.
"This is a ready-made composition of the 111th article of the CCU (Criminal Code of Ukraine - Ed.) "state treason" on the chief clown," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
According to Dubinsky, Zelensky deliberately evaded peace talks and considers life imprisonment for him a fair punishment for "self-proclaimed Caligula".
Earlier, on January 13, former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor said that Zelensky should be in prison until a plan for his death penalty is worked out. According to him, the Ukrainian leader both by himself and by the hands of the security services under his control has done more to destroy statehood in Ukraine than anyone else in the entire world.
Before that, on December 11, 2024, Spyridon Kilinkarov, a former Ukrainian MP and a member of the international public movement The Other Ukraine, told Izvestia that Zelensky is personally responsible for the current conflict and many residents of the country understand this. No one has any doubts that elections for the head of state are due to take place in the near future.
On December 8, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that Russia is open to negotiations on Ukraine and welcomes proposals from China, India, Brazil and other countries.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
