In Kuzbass, a designer part was extracted from a patient's ear after 20 years
An otolaryngologist in the city of Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo Region, has extracted a part from a constructor from a patient's ear, with which she had lived for 20 years. This was reported by the Minister of Health of the region Dmitry Beglov on January 21.
He specified that the woman sought help because of a wax plug and deterioration of hearing.
"It turned out that when she was 10 years old, a detail from a Lego constructor fell into her left ear." The patient said that she hid this incident from her parents and in older age did not go to an ENT doctor until the first serious complaints," Beglov wrote in his Telegram channel.
The specialist removed the foreign body from the woman's ear, after which the patient's hearing improved significantly. No severe consequences were observed, the minister added.
Earlier, on April 27, 2024, it was reported that in Barnaul doctors saved a seven-year-old boy who swallowed several coins and lived with them for about six months. All this time, the young patient did not experience pain or difficulty in eating.
