A ball-boy girl fainted during a game at the Australian Open - 2025 in tennis. About it on January 21 reports "Sport-Express".

The incident occurred during the second round mixed doubles match between a pair of players from Australia Kimberly Birrell/John-Patrick Smith and Dutch-German duo Demi Scheurs/Tim Pütz. Their meeting ended with the score 6:3, 5:7, 10:8.

The teenager's health deteriorated in the second set due to the heat. The girl could hardly keep on her feet, which was noticed by the athletes. Tennis players picked up the bol-boy and together with workers at the stadium laid her on the court for medical assistance.

The main matches of the Australian Open take place from January 12 to 26 on the courts of the Melbourne Park complex.

Earlier in the day, Russian tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova lost to Belarusian and world number one Arina Sobolenko in the quarterfinal match of the Australian Open. The meeting was held in Melbourne and ended with the score 2:6, 6:2, 3:6 in favor of the representative of Belarus.
