Ingosstrakh presented a rating of the most accident-prone streets in Moscow in 2024 based on the clients' claims about road accidents, and also named the car brands that were most often involved in accidents. In 2024, the owners of Kia cars most often applied for compensation under MTPL in connection with accidents in Moscow. The document was reviewed by "Izvestia" on January 21.
According to the statistics of accidents according to the claims of clients under MTPL insurance, the most accident-prone streets in Moscow were Varshavskoe highway (the share of accidents - 2.6%), Leningradskoe highway (1.6%), Dmitrovskoe highway (1.5%), Leninsky prospect (1.4%), as well as Leningradsky prospect (1.3%).
According to Ingosstrakh's client statements, in 2024, due to road accidents in Moscow, owners of Kia (12.2%), Hyundai (10%), Volkswagen (6.2%), Toyota (6%) and Mercedes-Benz (5%) cars most often applied for compensation under MTPL insurance.
In addition, according to the analytics, men were involved in traffic accidents much more often than women: 63% vs. 37%.
Earlier, on January 16, experts of Ivitech company told "Izvestia" about the growing popularity of Chinese cars in Russian taxi fleets. According to experts, more than 40% of Russian taxi fleets already use Chinese models due to the rising prices of European and Japanese cars.
