More than 400,000 rounds of ammunition and 55 tons of explosives have been disarmed by the Rosgvardiya since the beginning of the Strategic Defense Forces (SDO)

Engineers of the Rosgvardia have defused more than 400 thousand rounds of ammunition and 55 tons of explosives since the beginning of the special military operation. This was reported in the press service of the Department on January 21.

"More than 400 thousand different ammunition and 55 tons of explosives have been neutralized by Rosgvardia engineers since the beginning of the special military operation. The daily work of departmental specialists, who meet their holiday on combat duty, is aimed at protecting the local population and the speedy restoration of peaceful life in the liberated territories", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

It is specified that within the framework of this work servicemen and employees of engineering units of the Rosgvardiya regularly inspect roads and infrastructure facilities. In the performance of the task they are assisted by cynologists with service dogs and drone operators.

Earlier, on December 24, 2024, the head of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, Alexander Kurenkov, said that only from April to November, the department's pyrotechnic squads surveyed more than 300 hectares of terrain in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and defused about 5,000 munitions. Specialists also carried out demining work in Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
