The death toll in a fire at a resort in Turkey has risen to 10 people
The number of dead at the ski resort Kartalkaya in the Turkish province of Bolu has risen to 10 people, the number of injured at the moment is 32 people. About it on January 21 reports the TV channel TRT Haber.
It is noted that many fire brigades, AFAD (Agency for Disaster and Emergency Management), UMKE (search and rescue team) groups, as well as medical teams and helicopters have been sent to the region from the city center, districts and adjacent provinces.
The fire, which broke out last night, was reported earlier in the day. According to CNN Türk, the fire broke out in a hotel at an altitude of 2,200 meters. Starting in the restaurant part of the 12-story wooden building around 03:30 a.m. local time, the flames spread quickly.
The Russian Embassy told RIA Novosti that it had received no information about Russians injured or killed in the fire. Bolu Governor Abdulaziz Aydin said the hotel fire has now been largely brought under control. The causes of the incident are being established by the provincial prosecutor's office. He also added that the condition of two victims is assessed as serious, the rest are in a medium degree of severity.
