Kharatyan told "Izvestia" about the start of the actor's career

Actor, TV presenter and singer Dmitry Kharatyan celebrates his 65th birthday on January 21. "Izvestia" talked to him about the start and development of his acting career.

Kharatyan is always very selective in choosing roles and projects. To be filmed for the sake of being filmed is not his goal. His debut work happened in Vladimir Menshov's movie "Rozyгрыш". Dmitry at that time was 15. The guy with a guitar to the movie studio was brought by a girl with whom he met in a pioneer camp.

"This happy accident I regard as a gift of fate, apparently, I was ready for it. Guitar was my main hobby. I was sick, I lived it, just like the hero Igor Grushko, about whom Vladimir Menshov made a movie. When I first saw my TV auditions on the screen, it was a shock to me, I was of a better opinion of myself, "- shared Kharatyan.

However, the artist was approved for the role. "Rozyгрыш" went to the screens of the immense country January 10, 1977, and January 11, Dima Kharatyan woke up famous. But, as it seemed to him, his merit in this was not. It was him, speaking the lyrics he would have spoken in life.

"I thank for this priceless gift my first director, my first teacher in the profession, the man who determined my fate, Vladimir Valentinovich Menshov. Thank you, master!" - noted the artist.

As the jubilee admits, popular roles have shaped him. With them he became better than he could be.
