The term for consideration of applications for disposal of maternity capital will be halved

The timeframe for considering an application for the disposal of maternity capital funds and the timeframe for making a decision on such an application will be reduced from 10 to 5 working days, according to a draft law by the Ministry of Labor.

Amendments to reduce the term on Monday, January 20, approved by the Government Commission on Legislative Activity (Izvestia has the document), sources in the Cabinet said.

Starting from 2021, the Unified Centralized Digital Platform in the social sphere will be gradually created and implemented, Vladimir Gruzdev, chairman of the board of the Russian Bar Association, explained to Izvestia. In 2024, he said, they worked on automating the full cycle of granting maternity capital.

"Now the draft federal law proposes to reduce the terms of consideration of the application for disposal of maternity capital funds and the terms of making a decision on such an application from 10 to 5 working days," he said.

The terms of sending an interdepartmental request by the Pension and Social Insurance Fund and its consideration by bodies and organizations will also be reduced, follows from the explanatory note. This will take 48 hours, although previously the term was five working days.
