American entrepreneur and head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Ilon Musk showed a gesture similar to a fascist greeting while speaking at the inauguration celebration of United States President Donald Trump. The Guardian reported on January 20 that.

"I just want to thank you for making this possible", Musk said at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.

The Trump adviser then slapped himself in the chest with his right hand before raising it upward diagonally.

Earlier, on January 22, 2024, Ilon Musk, who has been accused of anti-Semitism, visited a museum at the site of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz (Auschwitz) in Poland with his son. He admitted that until recently he was "naive" about the extent of anti-Semitism, saying it was because most of his friends were Jewish and he had little contact with them in his life.

On November 17, 2023, it was reported that Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and a number of other major companies refused to place their advertising in the social network X, owned by American entrepreneur and billionaire Ilon Musk. In addition to Disney, such corporations as Wish, Lionsgate, Comcast NBCUniversal, IMB, as well as Paramount and Sony Pictures refused to cooperate with the entrepreneur.

This came after Musk's statements, in which he emphasizes, according to the publication's statements, his negative stance towards Israel in the Middle East conflict
