In Yaroslavl, firefighters rescued two children from a burning apartment
Firefighters rescued two children aged five and six from a burning apartment in Yaroslavl. This was reported on January 20 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Yaroslavl region.
It is specified that the fire occurred in an apartment on the sixth floor.
"Escaping from the fire, a five-year-old boy stood on the window sill. Employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry came to the aid of the child", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the second child firefighters found in the smoke-filled room, the children were handed over to doctors.
The area of the fire amounted to 10 square meters. m. In extinguishing the fire involved 14 specialists and five units of equipment.
"One room burned out completely, where the nursery was, the second, large room is damaged throughout the area, the third - smoked", - said the Deputy head of the GU of the Ministry of emergency Situations of Russia in the Yaroslavl region on the state fire department Sergei Borkovsky.
On the same day, three people, including two children, died in a fire in a private house in Khimki. The third child was saved. According to the prosecutor's office, the seven-year-old boy was diagnosed with burns of the upper respiratory tract. A criminal case has been opened under part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons").
