An 11-month-old infant was hospitalized with drug poisoning in Novokuznetsk. This was reported by a source of Izvestiya on January 20.

According to the source, the 22-year-old mother of the child put him to bed, and a few minutes later he felt bad and woke up.

The infant was reportedly diagnosed with drug poisoning at the hospital. At the moment he is in intensive care and his condition is assessed as serious.

It is specified that the child's mother lives with her parents, who were previously convicted for illegal acquisition of narcotic drugs.

January 13, official representative of the Interior Ministry Irina Volk reported that in the Sverdlovsk region police detained two men suspected of selling gift chocolates, which contained illegal substances. It was specified that the men rented an apartment in the town of Talitsa, where they grew mushrooms containing banned substances, crushed them and poured chocolate in the form of candy hearts.

Earlier, on August 6, a four-year-old boy was taken to a children's hospital in Nizhny Novgorod. According to the results of a medical examination, the child was diagnosed with narcotic substance poisoning.
