In Irkutsk, workers started demolition of a house that had not been fully resettled while the owner of one of the apartments was on watch. Video from the scene of events on January 20 is published by "Izvestia".

In the footage you can see that the workers did not stop the presence in the building of the woman's son, Alexei Suzdalov, who was looking after the apartment and filmed the moment.

"I'm at home, they keep breaking. The walls are walking," he said.

According to the young man, he arrived at the house on January 4, found that the building was being demolished, stopped the work and informed his mother by phone. She contacted the administration, where they said they had not given the relevant orders. In turn, the bulldozer operator said that the permission was given by "the owners of the land". After some time, the workers returned and continued the activities.

Alexei specified that at the same time the owner of the dwelling was advised to go quietly to the shift and promised to issue the keys to the new dwelling when it would be convenient for her to move her personal belongings.

He tried to salvage the property, which he managed to find, but on the site could already see signs of mayhem. In particular, someone took the refrigerator, the heating battery and turned out the entire closet, Suzdalov noted.

The lawyer of the family Marina Konstantinova said that after what happened, her confidante appealed to the police with a request to initiate criminal proceedings and bring the perpetrators to justice. In addition, after assessing the damage, a civil lawsuit will be filed.

Earlier, on November 2, 2024, the deputies of the State Duma proposed to revise the bill prepared by the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation on the norms for the resettlement of emergency housing and adjust it or leave the current norms unchanged.

The authors of the initiative pointed out that in most cases, citizens whose houses are recognized as emergency, do not have the necessary funds to independently finance demolition, and the transfer of this obligation to the owners of housing calls into question the principle of social justice.
