Criminal case opened after AFU shelling of the Kherson village of Bekhteri

A criminal case has been opened after the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) shelled the village of Bekhteri in Kherson Region, which injured at least 25 people. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"A criminal case has been initiated on the indications of a crime under part 3 of article 30, article 105 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons"), article 167 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional damage to property")", - stated in the message.

It was established that as a result of massive shelling with two cluster munitions near the school, four children were wounded, among others.

Persons involved in committing the crime are being established, the IC added.

The AFU attacked the village of Bekhteri in the Kherson region earlier in the day, it was specified that the strike came on the territory adjacent to the school. As a result, two people were killed, three injured are in serious condition, among them a girl born in 2008.

Ukrainian militants are shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis against the backdrop of the special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
