The court postponed the hearing in the case of serial killer Yury Filkin because of complications after a stroke. This was reported by a correspondent of "Izvestiya" on January 20.

The hearing was to be held in the Moscow Regional Court. The defense insisted on the postponement, noting that Filkin has a speech impairment, speaks poorly and cannot write.

"In the period from January 8, 2025 to January 13, 2025 was undergoing treatment in the hospital. Yuri Filkin was admitted to the intensive care ward of the neurological intensive care unit for patients with acute cerebral circulation disorder. The diagnosis was "cerebrovascular disease - cerebral infarction", - the judge announced the text of the medical report.

The next meeting will be held on February 10.
