- The Kremlin will host an anniversary screening of the rock opera "Juno and Avos"
On February 16, the legendary rock opera "Juno and Avos" by Alexei Rybnikov and Andrei Voznesensky celebrates its anniversary on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace.
The author's version of the rock opera about the all-consuming tragic love of Count Rezanov and Conchita, born in 1980 by Russian composer Alexei Rybnikov and poet Andrei Voznesensky, impressed audiences 45 years ago on the Lenkom stage and has since become one of the most famous rock operas on the Russian stage.
Alexey Rybnikov's version is a serious innovation in the genre of world musical theater and is designed to return to the original idea of the creators of the work. His version of the opera combines the traditions of Russian spiritual music, folklore, and genres of mass "urban" music with the composer's figurative, ideological and aesthetic priorities.
The jubilee performance on February 16 at the Kremlin Palace will be presented by director Alexander Rykhlov and talented Moscow artists - stars of the "new wave", and on stage the audience will be truly immersed in the story - scenography, interactive scenery, costumes and, undoubtedly, strong voices of the artists will impress even the most sophisticated.
In the role of Count Nikolai Rezanov - brothers Nikita and Alexander Pozdnyakov (participants of the project "The Voice"), theater and film actor Nikolai Drozdovsky. The role of Conchita will be performed by Svetlana Bakayeva, Anna Burkina, Natalia Krestyanskikh and Diana Orlovskaya. Also involved in the performance are the leading actors of the Alexey Rybnikov Theater: Ekaterina Kulchitskaya, Nikolai Lyutov, Yves Nabiev (winner of the project "Success").
