All Russians surveyed said that they plan to spend May holidays traveling. At the same time, 60% of respondents will be in their own region - they will go to the countryside, dacha, campground or camping, as follows from the results of a survey of air and rail ticket purchase service Kupibilet, which was reviewed by Izvestia on January 21.

Travel within Russia(Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kislovodsk, Kazan, Sochi, Sevastopol, etc.) is also popular: 28% of respondents plan to travel around Russian cities by plane; 8% will go to the mountains (Caucasus, Altai, etc.). Foreign trips are less popular: only 4% of respondents are going to Europe or Asia.

At the same time, 11% of the survey participants have already booked tickets and have fully planned their vacation, including the route, accommodation and entertainment; 20% of respondents have a rough idea of the trip - they know the destination or type of vacation, but the details have not yet been worked out; 33% of respondents are actively searching for options, considering different offers and comparing prices. Another 36% of respondents have not decided on a specific plan.

Experts found out that 35% of Russians lay down from 10 thousand to 30 thousand rubles for a vacation, 33% will allocate for a trip from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles; 22% will spend up to 10 thousand rubles; 7% have the amount of 50 thousand to 80 thousand rubles; and 3% - from 80 thousand to 100 thousand rubles.

"Leisure planning for May holidays shows an interesting picture reflecting the current economic realities and travel preferences of Russians. Although 100% of respondents are planning a trip, the degree of readiness for it varies, indicating different approaches to organizing a vacation. The majority of respondents are in active search, which indicates the high competition in the market of tourist services and the need for careful comparison of offers", - said the product director of "Kupibilet" Andrey Maslak.

According to him, the average budget, estimated at approximately 30 thousand rubles per person, indicates the prevalence of middle-class travel and may be due to the fact that a significant number of people will go on the road for only part of the weekend. "However, a significant proportion of tourists with a limited budget (10 thousand rubles) and the presence of people with a high budget (more than 50 thousand rubles) demonstrate a clear segmentation of the market," added Maslak.

Earlier, January 14, it was reported that more tourists will go on trips around the country in February. This follows from the data of travel planning service OneTwoTrip. Thus, the share of hotel bookings in Russia for the year increased by 8% and is 43%. Moscow, Esto-Sadok, St. Petersburg became the most popular cities for tourists.
