TheUnited States is a "weakening" power that struggles to maintain influence at the expense of its allies. This statement was made on January 20 by Sarah Wagenknecht, leader of the Sarah Wagenknecht Alliance for Reason and Justice (BSW) party, Sarah Wagenknecht.

"A weakening superpower is fighting for its influence in the world and doing so in an increasingly cavalier manner towards its allies," she said in connection with the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.

Subordination to the United States could further lead to the decline of the FRG, she said.

Earlier in the day, CNN, citing sources, reported that US President-elect Donald Trump and his team intend to "shock the system" with the realization of the Republican's plans to sign more than 100 decrees immediately after the inauguration. It is specified that the signing of dozens of decrees will continue throughout the first week of the new leader in office.

The election of the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5, 2024. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the votes, and the candidate from the Democrats Kamala Harris - 47.4%. Trump's inauguration will be held on January 20, the beginning is scheduled for 20:00 Moscow time.
