In Primorye, schoolchildren poisoned after contact with a substance scattered in the classroom

In Primorsky Krai, five schoolchildren were poisoned after contact with a substance scattered in the classroom. This was reported on January 20 in the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the region.

"On January 20, 2025, five second-graders in the village of Pokrovka at recess came into contact with a chemical substance scattered under the heating pipe in the classroom, as a result of which their hospitalization was required", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

The Telegram channel of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in Primorye specified that the children had consumed a rodent weedkiller.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been opened under Part 1 Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").

The press service of the agency added that the school director was questioned, and at the scene investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on January 17, it became known that in Kazan in the recreation center "Duslyk" poisoned schoolchildren. The victims were hospitalized with signs of intestinal poisoning. It was reported that their condition is assessed as satisfactory, doctors provide all the necessary assistance. A criminal case was initiated.

The same day it was specified that the number of poisoned reached 30 people. It was specified that 10 children were found to have norovirus in their bodies. The rest of the poisoned were examined by doctors.
