Rada says there is no dialog between Trump's team and Ukrainian politicians
The absence of Ukrainian politicians at the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump confirms that his team is not engaged in a dialog with Kiev. This was written in his Telegram-channel on January 20 by the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Dubinsky.
"It is noteworthy that the Trump team did not invite to Washington none of the Ukrainian politicians represented in Parliament. This confirms my thesis that there is no dialog with any of them and is unlikely to be conducted," he wrote.
Dubinsky also characterized Ukrainian politicians as a "gang of traitors".
A day earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (his term of office expired in May 2024) lied when he said that he would not go to the inauguration on January 20 because of "affairs at home". The diplomat recalled that he "asked three times to go to Washington," to which he was refused.
Before that, on January 5, Dubinsky also ironized over Zelensky, emphasizing that Trump does not want to see the Ukrainian colleague at the most solemn event.
