A courier of fraudsters who forced a pensioner to throw $100 thousand out the window has been arrested.

Meshchansky court of Moscow arrested a 20-year-old courier of fraudsters, who forced a 92-year-old pensioner to throw $100 thousand out the window. This was reported on January 20 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow in Telegram-channel.

"The decision of the Meshchansky district court of Moscow satisfied the petition of the investigator to elect a measure of restraint in the form of detention," - stated in the message.

He is accused of a crime under part. 4 Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed by an organized group or on a particularly large scale or entailed deprivation of the right of a citizen to residential premises").

Earlier, on January 17, a source of "Izvestia" said that fraudsters on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin persuaded a 92-year-old retired intelligence colonel to throw money out the window. It was reported that an unknown person called the pensioner and, introducing himself as the mayor of the capital, asked about the money he had.
