The number of casualties in the AFU shelling of the village of Bekhteri, Kherson region, has risen to 21

The number of people injured during shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the village of Bekhteri in Kherson region has increased to 21, the press secretary of the region's governor Volodymyr Vasylenko said on January 20.

"As a result of shelling of the territory adjacent to the school of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Kherson "Bekhteri school of Golopristansky municipal district", 21 people were injured, including three children," he told TASS.

The AFU attacked the village of Bekhteri in the Kherson region earlier in the day. As a result, two people were killed. According to preliminary data, the AFU used a cluster shell.

Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
