More than 90 buildings in Novosibirsk were left without heating
More than 90 buildings have been disconnected from heating in the Dzerzhinsky and Kirovsky districts of Novosibirsk to fix defects before the cold snap, local publication NGS reported on January 20, citing data from the city's mayor Maxim Kudryavtsev and the Siberian Generating Company (SGK).
"We shut off [in the Dzerzhinsky district] 52 apartment buildings, four children's institutions, one medical institution, four others. Four units, 21 people and 10 units of equipment are involved," Kudryavtsev said at an operational meeting in the government of the Novosibirsk region.
It is specified that it is a planned shutdown to eliminate a defect with a diameter of 500 mm on the pipeline on Lazarev Street. The work is planned to be completed on January 21 by 4:00, although it may happen earlier, he pointed out.
In turn, the Telegram-channel "SGK Novosibirsk" reports that defects are also being eliminated in the Kirovsky district on Pokryshkina Street. There, 36 buildings, including 28 apartment buildings, are temporarily disconnected.
Repair work will be completed on the night of January 21 on heating mains in both districts, confirmed in SGK.
Earlier, on December 12, 2024, 30 apartment buildings and 10 private houses were left without heat in the Oktyabrsky district of Novosibirsk. The cause was a defect in the 800 mm diameter pipeline.
