The Ministry of Defense filed claims against VSK for 4 billion rubles

The Russian Defense Ministry has filed claims for more than 4 billion rubles against the Military Construction Company (MCC), TASS reported on January 20, citing data from the Moscow Arbitration Court.

According to its information, the total amount of the claims is 4 billion 021 million 508 thousand 717 rubles. Details are not disclosed yet. Consideration of part of the claims has already been scheduled.

According to the court filing, in the period from January 10 to January 13, the Ministry of Defense filed 10 lawsuits against the public law company.

In July 2024, it became known that in June the Ministry of Defense filed 23 lawsuits against VSK for the amount of 6.8 billion rubles. At the end of the same month, the head of the company Andrei Belkov was arrested on charges of abuse of power. Then 27 more lawsuits were filed, and by August the amount of claims exceeded 9 billion rubles.

In September, charges of bribery and abuse of power were also brought against former employees of VSK, and in October the deputy head of the company's branch Dmitry Sergel was put on the wanted list in the case of embezzlement of state defense order funds.
