An elderly woman died in a fire in a private house in Pribaikalye region

In the village of Plotok Khalty in the Irkutsk region, an elderly woman died in a fire in a private house. This was reported on January 19 in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

"In the settlement Plotok Khalty caught fire in a private house. When extinguishing the firefighters of the Russian Emergencies Ministry found the body of a 69-year-old woman", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

In the elimination of the fire on 30 square meters involved five specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and two units of equipment. The cause of the incident was the emergency operation of the refrigerator. The deceased did not notice the fire due to the lack of a fire detector in the house, noted in the department.

Earlier in the day it became known about the fire in an apartment building in Yaroslavl, which killed four people, two of them - children. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported that 18 specialists and six units of equipment worked at the scene. A fire testing laboratory was also involved. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of the incident. Preliminary, the cause of the fire could be careless handling of fire.
