Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold a meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo on January 20, during which an agreement on cooperation between the two countries will be signed. This was announced by Fahrettin Altun, head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, on January 19.

"President of our country Recep Tayyip Erdogan will receive on January 20 at the presidential complex Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fitzo and his delegation, which will pay an official visit to our country," he wrote on his page in X (former Twitter).

It is noted that during the meeting will be discussed the deepening of cooperation between the countries and will exchange views on topical regional and global issues. The signing of agreements, including a joint declaration on "strategic partnership", is also on the agenda, Altun noted.

Earlier, on December 28, 2024, Robert Fitzo said that the topic of ending the conflict in Ukraine would be the leading topic during his visit to Turkey. He also emphasized that Slovakia was ready to host the peace talks.
