- Russian ambassador assesses prospects for normalization of relations with Canada after Trump's arrival
One should not put much faith in the "Trump factor" in the context of Canada's relations with Russia, Russian ambassador to the country Oleg Stepanov told Izvestia.
"Changes in relations with Canada, as well as with the US and the West in general, are possible only when we force them to accept the facts on the ground, in other words - after the full achievement of the goals of the NWO outlined by the Russian president," the diplomat said.
According to him, the change from a Liberal cabinet to a Conservative one does not necessarily mean a change in the rhetoric and policy of official Ottawa. At least for now there are no signs and indications of this, the Russian ambassador said.
"Canada's political establishment has so strongly cornered itself into a Russophobic and pro-Banderian corner that it will be extremely difficult to get out of it.
Commitment to continuing unconditional military-technical and economic assistance to the regime in Kiev is an axiom for Canadian politicians," Oleg Stepanov emphasized.
On January 20, the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will take place in Washington.
On January 6, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his resignation and resignation as leader of the Liberal Party as soon as a successor is found for him. An election for a new leader is scheduled for March 9.
