After the elections, the majority of supporters of the Democratic Party of the United States believe that it needs serious changes. This was reported by CNN on January 19 with reference to the results of a survey by SSRS.
It is specified that 58% of Democrats and leaning to democracy independent voters are confident in the need for reform in the party. According to the channel, this figure has increased by 24% since the last election.
Also, only about half of Democratic supporters said they expect their representatives in Congress to be active and effective.
According to those polled, the main problems of the Democratic Party are internal divisions, detachment from reality and lack of active resistance to the Republicans.
In the Republican Party, in turn, the number of those confident in the need for change decreased by 10%. In addition, 90% of Republicans believe that their representatives will be effective in Congress.
It is specified that the survey was conducted from January 9 to January 12 among 1205 Americans selected by random sampling. Questioning was carried out online or by phone.

In addition, 89% of respondents said they were concerned about inflation in the country. This percentage increased by six points compared to an identical survey at the beginning of the presidential term of the American leader.
