Servicemen of the North group of forces have destroyed a heavy drone Baba-Yaga of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kharkiv Region. Footage of objective control of the target was shown by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 19.

In the video, the operator of the group's FPV drone destroyed an enemy drone in the air.

As the ministry clarified, the military continues to practice the tactics of tracking down and destroying the AFU's Baba Yaga-type octocopters. The group's combat drones are on round-the-clock duty in the skies above the region and identify the enemy's strike UAVs with a system of mine or gunshot drops.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that the fighters of the "North" group of forces destroyed a 155-millimeter Paladin self-propelled artillery unit of the AFU in Sumy region with a Lancet barrage munition. The enemy's equipment was detected by aerial reconnaissance.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
