Fighters of the "North" group destroyed an AFU Paladin SAU in Sumy region
Servicemen of the North group of forces have destroyed a 155-mm Paladin self-propelled artillery unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Sumy Region with a Lancet barrage munition. The objective control footage was shown by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 19.
The enemy's equipment was detected by air reconnaissance means of one of the group's units in a wooded area. After analyzing the intelligence, a decision was made to fire on the American-made UAS. The unit was eliminated by an accurate hit.
"Objective control of the destruction of the SAU of the AFU fighters was carried out by means of aerial reconnaissance in real time", - added in the department.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that the military grouping of troops "North" destroyed an assault group of AFU militants on the outskirts of the settlement of Glubokoye in Kharkiv region. The Russian Armed Forces unit detected the enemy group with the help of aerial reconnaissance means.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
