Moscow and Beijing will fight counterfeit Russian products in China

Supervisory authorities of the Chinese province of Liaoning together with Russia will fight counterfeit Russian products in the region. This was announced by the Director General of the Russian Export Center (REC) at the Made in Russia festival in Shenyang in China on January 19.

"Today we have signed an agreement with the Liaoning province's supervisory body for product quality control, they will fight counterfeits of Russian products on the territory of the province," Nikishina said.

According to her, it is very important for the Russian side that the provincial leadership pays great attention to the fight against counterfeit Russian products. The REC expects that such examples should be "scaled to other provinces".

According to her, today there is a huge surge of interest in Russian products among PRC residents and an important task for this year is to fight counterfeits.

The festival-fair "Made in Russia" is held from January 17 to 25 in Shenyang. An opening ceremony was held on Sunday, January 19. At the fair, Shenyang residents will be able to evaluate the products of more than 120 manufacturers from about 40 regions of Russia: food, beverages, cosmetics, souvenirs and handicrafts. The guests will be able to evaluate the products in the tasting zone and buy their favorites directly from the producers.

At the fairgrounds, companies will hold business meetings with representatives of Chinese business to discuss cooperation and new projects.

Earlier, on December 25, exports of meat products from Russia to China increased significantly. In 2024, the figure has already exceeded 38 thousand tons, reported in Rosselkhoznadzor. It was reported that from January to December, our country delivered to the East Asian republic 20.8 thousand tons of pork and 17.3 thousand tons of pork offal.
