Nikita Zubkov, head of MegaFon's projects for the development of device sales on the secondary market, gave advice on selling and buying a used smartphone on January 19.

According to him, first of all, it is necessary to transfer the necessary information to another device or cloud storage, as well as log out of all accounts. It is also required to remove the SIM card from the device or deactivate it in the settings.

Zubkov emphasized that the final step before selling the phone is a factory reset.

"The only thing you will be left to do is to prepare the complete set of the phone: charger, cable, box, if they have been preserved. And if there are any shortcomings, describe them," the specialist added in conversation with RT.

He also noted that you should adhere to some rules when buying a smartphone. First, it is worth studying reviews about the seller or store and check their rating.

"The product should also be thoroughly checked before buying. First, the physical condition: the screen, the camera, the work of the speakers, the charger," Zubkov continued.

Then, as the expert specified, it is necessary to make sure that the device is not blacklisted by operators or has not been lost, and check whether the previous owner deleted his data.

Earlier, January 9, Professor of the Department of Nanoelectronics RTU MIREA, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Alexei Yurasov told how to save a wet phone from failure. According to him, you should first turn off the phone and wipe the case dry. The expert also emphasized that connection to the charger in such cases is strictly forbidden.
