The State Duma said that the Russian budget is ready for additional indexation of pensions

The federal budget of the Russian Federation has been prepared for additional indexation of pensions. This was stated to "RIA Novosti" on January 19 by Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy.

"The country's budget considered and adopted by parliament is certainly ready for such measures," she said.

Stenyakina noted that about 40 million Russian pensioners will fall under the indexation of insurance pensions.

Earlier, January 18, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Svetlana Bessarab said that the government may index pensions until February 1. The percentage of the additional increase will be the difference between annual inflation and the already made indexation, that is, 2.22%.

January 11, Duma deputy from the party "United Russia" and a member of the Committee on Budget and Taxes Nikita Chaplin said that in April 2025 will be indexation of social pensions. According to him, the amount of payments will increase by 14.75%.
