Baptismal bathing took place in Russian regions

Russians took a dip in the ice-hole in honor of the Epiphany on the night of January 18-19. Izvestia publishes the relevant images from Kemerovo, Yekaterinburg and Yakutsk.

So, in the Kemerovo region for baptismal bathing prepared 42 fonts. In places of bathing 62 heating points with hot drinks and 22 points of food are provided. In the administrative center of the region there are two swimming pools - at the Red Lake and at the church of the parish of the Resurrection of Christ on Pritomsky Avenue.

According to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, this year security in places of mass bathing is provided by 889 rescuers and 278 units of equipment. Employees of medical institutions and volunteers are also on duty near the swimming pools. Kuzbass doctors do not recommend children under seven years old and people with cardiovascular diseases to take a dip.

In addition, 214 churches in the Kemerovo region will hold baptismal services.

The Baptism of the Lord was also celebrated at the main church of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Kubinkanear Moscow. The event was attended by all comers, including servicemen of the Russian army. The faithful were able to take a dip in the consecrated fonts.
