The celebration of the Epiphany of the Lord took place at the Main Church of the Russian Armed Forces

On the night of January 19, the Epiphany of the Lord was celebrated near the main church of the Russian Armed Forces in Kubinka, Moscow Region. Images from the event are published by Izvestia.

Everyone, including servicemen of the Russian army, took part in the celebrations dedicated to the Epiphany. Believers were also able to take a dip in the consecrated fonts.

"[Faith] has always helped, faith gives strength, faith that you will always stay alive, that you are welcome at home and you will definitely return there," said Russian Armed Forces serviceman Ilya Zhukov.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that servicemen of the All-Russian Army of the "West" group of troops took a dip in the ice-hole in the area of the special military operation (SMO) on the day of the Epiphany celebration. At the same time, where there is no possibility to make a font, the faithful soldiers take a dip in consecrated waters, the ministry noted.
