The National Medical Research Center for Endocrinology has become a world-class institution. This was revealed on Saturday, January 18, by Ivan Dedov, President of the FGBU National Medical Research Center for Endocrinology, chief freelance endocrinologist of the Ministry of Health, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Today, thanks, of course, to your personal support, the center has become, without exaggeration, world-class. It is a scientific, it is a medical institution. We receive 150 thousand outpatients and 25 thousand inpatients," Dedov pointed out.

He noted that all 100 years of its existence the institute is the head of endocrinology.

"All endocrinopathies that occur on the planet, they are all accumulated here. The uniqueness of the center is also that all endocrinology is under one roof. There is neuroendocrinology, diabetes, thyroid pathologies, and, of course, reproductive medicine", - emphasized Dedov.

Earlier, on December 19, 2024, Putin noted the development of pharmacological companies in Russia. He emphasized that previously pharmacology was developed mainly with the support of the state and the federal budget, but now pharmaceutical companies have begun to invest their own resources, amounting to tens of billions of rubles. It is expected that by 2030 the Russian Federation should reach 90% of its own drugs, and 40% for medical devices.
