Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the joint troops of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), as well as view a map of military operations as of January 18 in the Izvestiya piece.

It is noted that units of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Petropavlovka, while units of the East group of forces took control of Vremivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

Also in response to ATACMS missile fire in the Belgorod region, the Russian military launched a group strike with high-precision weapons against facilities of Ukraine's military-industrial complex, including the Luch design bureau, which designs and manufactures Neptun long-range guided missiles and rockets for the Olkha multiple launch rocket system.

"The targets of the strike have been achieved, all facilities have been hit," the Defense Ministry said.

The Defense Ministry noted that operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' troop groups hit the infrastructure of military airfields, the workshop of production and assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and equipment in 156 areas.

A total of 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 40,726 drones, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,658 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,510 multiple rocket launchers, 20,764 field artillery and mortar guns, 30,459 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
