Kiev mayor reported damage to the entrance to Lukyanivska metro station
The mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, said on January 18 that the entrance to Lukyanivska metro station in Shevchenkivskyy district had been damaged by explosions.
"The glass elements of the entrance to Lukyanivska metro station have been damaged. It is currently closed for entry and exit," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Klitschko added that trains do not stop at the station.
Earlier in the day, Ukrainian media reported that there were explosions in Kiev amid an air alert. The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information about the explosions.
