The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reminded about the end of the period of automatic license renewal in 2025

Driving licenses, which expired or will expire between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2025, will have to be replaced, as they will become invalid in 2025. This was told in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on January 18.

"Driving licenses, which have in column 4b the date of expiration from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2025, are considered valid throughout the territory of the Russian Federation for three years from this date," the Interior Ministry told TASS.

The agency explained that after the expiration of three years from this date, such driver's licenses must be changed.

Earlier, on December 31 last year, the traffic police urged drivers to replace the license with expired in 2022. The agency reminded that owners of invalid driver's licenses will need to undergo a medical examination, pay the established state duty and get a new license by applying to the State Automobile Inspectorate.
