The State Duma reported on possible additional indexation of pensions taking into account the inflation rate

The Government of the Russian Federation may decide on additional indexation of insurance pensions until February 1, 2025, taking into account the inflation rate for last year. This was announced on January 18 by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"Taking into account the government's authority to February 1 of this year is expected to announce the additional indexation of insurance pensions. The percentage of additional increase will be the difference between the annual inflation and the indexation already made. Thus, the figure will amount to 2.22%", - told Bessarab "RIA Novosti".

Earlier, on January 11, Duma deputy from the party "United Russia" and a member of the Committee on Budget and Taxes Nikita Chaplin said that in April 2025 will be indexation of social pensions. According to him, the amount of payments will increase by 14.75%.

Before that, on January 10, Bessarab said that Russian pensioners may once again increase pensions in February. She also recalled that from February 1, the fixed payment to the pension of citizens who reached the age of 80 years in January and received the I group of disability will double. If earlier the amount of payment amounted to 8728.73 rubles, now it will be 17 457.46 rubles.
