Governor of Kaluga region reported the destruction of seven drones in the region
Air defense forces destroyed seven drones overnight over Kirovsky district of Kaluga region. This was reported by the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha on January 18.
"Tonight air defense forces destroyed seven UAVs on the territory of Kirovsky district," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Shapsha pointed out that as a result of the destruction, one of the drones fell on a non-residential building, the resulting fire was extinguished by rescue services. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
Earlier, on January 17, Shapsha reported that in the Kaluga region due to the attack of UAVs there was a fire at an industrial enterprise. He specified that a task force is working at the scene. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
