Cases of salary growth by more than 20% were noted in the following industries: logistics (in 36% of the companies that reported an increase in salaries), IT (18%), construction (15%), production of chemical raw materials (11%), automotive business (10%) and medicine and pharmaceuticals (2%). This is reported in the research of the recruiting company get experts, which was read by "Izvestia" on January 20.

According to the study, almost half of the companies that raised salaries (45%) say that it was done by increasing the salary part, 13% attribute it to increased bonuses, and 41% - with the growth of both components. The top three most frequently cited reasons for increased income were indexation of salaries for all employees (67%) or certain categories of employees (28%) and changes in the motivation package (24%).

In half of the cases (50%), salary reductions ranged from 11% to 20%. Salaries were reduced by 5-10% in 19% of companies, by more than 20% - in 13%, and 19% did not name the exact figure.

Specialists noted that 58% of companies declared their intention to increase salaries in the coming year. About the fact that salaries will remain unchanged, said 23% of employers, they are going to reduce them only in 1% of cases. Another 18% of business representatives could not voice their forecasts.

The largest number of employers who plan to increase salaries are in the following industries: logistics (84%), FMCG (76%), metallurgy (73%), production of medical and laboratory equipment (70%), medicine and pharmaceuticals (65%). The least in the automotive business (43%), construction (49%) and financial institutions (50%).

10% of respondents reported a reduction in salaries in 2024 (12% a year earlier), and another 2% could not answer the question about the dynamics of income. The shares of those whose salaries have decreased in only one of its parts are comparable: 36% have reduced their salary, while 33% have reduced their bonus. Another 18% had both components affected, and 13% do not know where exactly they lost money.

The share of employees expecting a salary increase in 2025 has decreased: if 74% of respondents had such expectations in 2023, then only 61% in 2024. Those who believe that their salaries will not change this year remained about the same - 23% vs. 25% a year earlier. The percentage of those who fear a decrease in income (4%) and those who found it difficult to answer (12%) has noticeably increased - a year ago they were 1% each.

"In general, the expectations of companies and their employees on salaries for 2025 coincide. It is clear that they will not coincide in every case. However, I would advise employers to pay attention to such an important point as the level of dissatisfaction of specialists with their income: more than half of those dissatisfied is quite a lot. It may be worth reconsidering their intentions in terms of changing salaries or motivational programs, otherwise the risk of staff drain may grow, and in the current conditions, when the labor market is experiencing a significant shortage of qualified candidates, this is undesirable" - said Olga Shamber, General Director of the recruiting company get experts.

Last year, on December 26, Yulia Krylenko, Head of HR practice at Adizes Business Consulting, told Izvestia about burnout at work. According to her, when a person is required to behave in a way that is not typical for him for a long period of time, it will inevitably lead to burnout in the course of several years.
