The most popular used cars in Russia have been named
In 2024, the Lada 2107 sedan became the best-selling used car on the Russian secondary market. A total of 139.1 thousand of such cars were sold over the year, according to the report of the analytical agency Avtostat, which was received by Izvestia on January 20.
The second line of the rating was occupied by Kia Rio with the result of 124.7 thousand units, and the third - hatchback Lada 2114 "Samara-2" (122.7 thousand units). Hyundai Solaris (120.2 thousand units) follows, and Ford Focus (110.4 thousand units), which became the bestseller of the "secondary" in 2023, was only the fifth.
Lada 2170 "Priora" sedan and Lada 4×4 three-door SUV (104.4 thousand and 102.7 thousand units, respectively) also managed to overcome the 100 thousand units mark. Next in the ranking are Toyota Corolla and Camry, and Lada 2190 ("Granta") closed the top ten.
Seven models from the top ten have registered market growth. It was the highest for the sedan Lada 2107 (+42.5%), and the weakest - for the hatchback Lada 2114 "Samara-2" (+5.2%). Negative dynamics was the Ford Focus (-7.8%), Toyota Camry (-5.6%) and Toyota Corolla (-4.1%).
Also on Monday, it became known that in 2024, Russians purchased 6.04 million passenger cars with mileage, which is 6% more than a year earlier. Five brands account for more than half (51%) of the Russian aftermarket. Lada leads with the result of 1.5 million used cars.
