Trump revealed details of his conversation with Xi Jinping
US President-elect Donald Trump confirmed a phone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping and told what topics they discussed. He wrote about it on January 17 on his social network Truth Social.
"I expect that we will solve many problems together and start doing so immediately. We discussed balanced trade, TikTok and many other topics," the future leader of America reported.
He emphasized that the conversation was equally beneficial for both sides.
"Chairman Xi and I will do everything we can to make the world a more peaceful and safe place," Trump summarized.
The phone call between Trump and Xi Jinping was reported earlier in the day. Then it also became known that the Chinese leader will miss the inauguration of the US President-elect on January 20.
The South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on January 4 that Sino-US relations under Trump's presidency could improve if he fulfills his "goodwill intentions."
Meanwhile, Denis Denisov, an expert at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, shared with Izvestia on December 13, 2024, that Washington and Beijing may tighten mutual sanctions after Trump's inauguration.
